animation club!!!

October 6th, 2009 (12:08 pm)

Last week/end (or rather, the one before that!) was too busy to get much done on my animation, so it ended up kinda half baked. But it did get in on time...just. I haven't uploaded it yet to youtube, however it is now up on the animation club's youtube, so here it is! Instead of giving you just my own, this time it's the whole playlist from the night. (except [info]dynonichus's  for some reason).ENJOY!

Saur of the Dead (now mit sound!)

April 29th, 2009 (05:34 pm)

Okay, so I had to put all the scraps of tracks back into the file in Premier this time, and while they are there, and in the right spot (mostly, there is one or two changes to my original), the volume has gone a bit whack on some. :( Still, I am utterly over working on this any more!! So... here it is. With extra crappy sound, but sound none the less!

AARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

April 29th, 2009 (01:32 pm)

I HAVE FINALLY GOT MY ANIMATION ONTO YOUTUBE AFTER A MASSIVE FAIL OF USING THE WRONG FORMAT, AND AFTER THE EQUALLY MASSIVE FAIL OF THE FILE BEING INCOMPATIBLE OR SOMETHING WITH THE HOST COMPUTER AT SECRET HANDSHAKE, AND NOW NOW I LOOK AT THE BLOODY THING AND THE SOUND IS MISSING! SO I CHECK MY FILE, AND YEAH, SURE ENOUGH, THERE IS NO SOUND. WTF?! YES WTF? WTF MR PHYSICAL TRAINER? WTF MR PRESIDENT? WTF TO THE WORLD!

oh well, for the time being I guess you can view it without the all important sound. MAN! >:C grrrrr

Secret Handshake, prepare to be invaded by the Ecclemeister. Dinosaur comedies, replete with zombedies, coming your way. Funky dialogue, in the bad way, boosted by some swinging beats in the soundtrack, featuring the interweb's favourite flister, our very own nixwilliams. Less than two minutes of heathen heaven, as the dead and dinosaur come back to life with red on. Get red on you - shake the secret hand, shake it hard and old school, and help pop that Flashy cherry bubble o mine, this T-use-day, at the loop-de-loop bar. Sense making is over rated, and undesirable, never prerequisitable. If you've got an arm or an evening off, let Saur of the Dead amuse and amaze you (with its shonkiness) or undie trying.

ummm....
to translate myself:

I have finally finished my ANIMATION CLUB!!! animation, called 'Saur of the Dead' which not surprisingly is a short parody/tribute to Shaun of the Dead, but with dinosaurs in. The dialogue is quite shoddy, but the music includes some of nix's and is generally cool. It is short--ish (just under 2 mins). It will be screened at Secret Handshake on Tuesday night at Loop Bar in meyers place (off bourke st, near spring st). And it's my first entry into the club! yowser!! Anyone is welcome to come, otherwise it will find its way onto the web soon!!! I am chuffed!

D: Ah, I am struggling with the sundtrack for my animation! Anyone want to record some dinosaurs talking for me?
I did squick dialogue offa movie for it, but, yeah, it's not exactly commensurate with my script. oh, it's getting rather hard. :(((
I don't know whether to just record it all myself, or stick with the 'stolen' ahem movie tracks, and just record the odd word here and there, when absolutely nec. Or even to go with my first ever idea, which was to have growling with subtitles. oh woe is me!

secret handshake - dinosaurs!!!

April 13th, 2009 (01:29 pm)

I've spent two solid chunks of time (however long they have been, don't ask me) working on my dinosaur animation now. It's pretty chunky wonky. That sounds somewhat like Adam Eliots preferred style, 'chunky wonky' so I'm okay with that. Too bad the quality is not equal too. (although really, five years v. five hours? a bit of a difference ought to be expected!)

good thing:   it seems to be working thus far. at least in a basic sense. i did stuff, there is now moving images on my computer.

bad thing:     my computer and my camera are still not speaking to each other. so I have to get the pc to talk to the camera. but then my pc and my laptop are not talking to each other either, so that requires a stick to mediate, but then I can only find small ones with files on them I can't delete because their not mine, and it is all very frustrating and I just wish my various technological gadgets would get over themselves and start co-operating already! (also my computer is acting like a brain dead cardboard box lately, I am scared I need a new one, at least for intensive stuff like this. but I hate buying new things, even shiny stuff like computers. sigh)

not sure yet:   I was going to have dialogue, with accurate lip sync and all. Then I decided on making the dinos just roar, and have subtitles in english! But now I'm swinging around to dialogue, with only some crap syncing, mostly because I've already animated. Either way, I've still not recorded any voice/roars nor checked that my moody techs will manage to get whatever sound I decide on, into the film. Possibly a lot of angst on the way, with that one.
