 I have no time to write this post. none. well, only because I have to go tape and watch desperate housewives. 

Anyway. I have wasted a large portion of my free time today looking for a skipping rope, and failed to find one (around the house, back yard, shed, garage, and under the house). 

I have watched 4 episodes of Torchwood now, and LIKE it. except that I couldn't stop squeeing and laughing at the various familiar faces: 
omg, omg, who is that?? aaahh it's the daughter Janie off My Family HAHA, and OMG it's saffy's friend from Ab Fab! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! "saffy's got a boy friend saffy's got a boy friend! he's in love with you! you're going to have like millions of his babies!" and then she kissed a girl! ha, she was queer in ab fab too. so much. and then... everything. I am waiting for Dexter Fletcher to show up. seriously.

 So, I read in the Herald Sun today (yes, okay the age is tooo big, my dad gets HS) anyway, in the paper this moring, well -now, this article:

I was scanning, as I do in the morning. Generally read the opening paragraph of stuff. And went, hey that sounds familiar. Read the next line and laughed out loud.  My high school music teacher has finally been charged for being a complete and utter psycho. Except, not quite enough as far as I am aware. This guy's actions are, I think, not just to get a quick feel but to groom and gauge a girl's willingness to take it further with him. I mean, he would go as far as he could. And I'm also concerned about his behaviour with boys, (not the usual 'pedephile + boy = sex' worry but something else entirely.)

also, considering seeing my mates' band Hey Pilot on Thursday. Really doubt I will, since I will be tired in advance for friday. (yeah). But if people want their ear drums exploded before the week-end, I could be talked around. As above; not really expecting or particularly wanting a huge response, but I am kind of getting bored lately. 

AND um I have nothing to say. I should be working on a fic or something. Here is a list of some of the fics I have started (and can't be arsed working on, at least not enough to post):

Great. Although this time not technically a holiday as I was supposed to work, but a holiday in a sense because the rest of the family had up and left me and the dog alone for a week. Recent holidays (or holidays from family): a particularly painful period, a very bad head cold, the death and then funeral of my grandmother and now... dededaaahhh: roughly 32 hours without power! 
(also add to all of those my own crippling emo angst, and you have pretty horrible holidays)
 
I DON'T GOT THE POWER to make a cup of tea. to watch television or dvd. check emails, eljay or work on my own computery stuff. to watch and tape for mum, the FINAL episode of Life on Mars!!!! DDD: !!!! to keep the marine tank flowing, heated, aerated, or lit - result one dead fish and dubious lifespans on several corals, seastar, and sea slug. )-`: poor fish. he was our stalwart too surviving (or killing off, we suspect) his partner, a new partner, a gobi and a clown. the worst is his look, frozen on his face O: gasping for oxygen, his gills all red and blue. i also think he held out till the power came back on, but no longer. it is sad.

I got yesterday off work, as they didn't have power either. almost everything had to get chucked out. i would be happy to have a day off but under the circumstances...eh. and it was still pretty windy. When it was sunny i went out and chopped up the huge branch in the garden, and tried to save the little plants it was squishing, and cleared part of it from my neighbours driveway, so she can get out easy now. Usually i would have done the housework on wednesday, but obviously couldn't vacuum, so decided not to dust or sweep or mop either! now my parents come home tonight, and they'd better accept my excuse! although what choice do they have? I have to work today, I assume, since the power came on about 10pm last night, (although I'd gone to bed 40 minutes before with a whacking head ache - which i still have, poor me) and that means they've probably been in there cooking all night to prepare for a brand new day.

I'm about to drink the cup of tea I made, and wonder whether I have time to watch a movie or something to cheer me up, and I loaded the dishwasher and the sink and so the dishes will soon disappear! (although the icecream i was making when the power went off, will not appear just yet) sigh. and the holiday is over.

In other news: my grandmother passed away today. I'm fine. We weren't close, and she was very old and has had been getting worse very fast lately. I'm sad for my dad though. And I was worried about my uncle who lives with us, wondering if he'd really understand it, or if he'd be angry or sad. He seems pretty okay, watched his tv shows as usual etc.. I think he's just not thinking about it, but it will effect him in his 'private' life. We often hear him argue with... himself, I guess, the invisible people who bother him in his room? I dun know. I think he might let it out there, maybe? It seems like my sister might be taking it badly, and I'm sorry for that, sort of, but maybe I wish I was taking it harder. Seems a bit cold hearted doesn't it? There are a lot of feelings mixed up with my other grandmother's death, and it might be that which is affecting my sister too. I don't really have any concrete thoughts to type now. I just wanted to make some kind of ... um ....sign? that this happened today, and it is sad, but I'm ok.  :/
